hello everyone...
i know, i know. dang nate, it's been SOOOO long since my last post. what can i say? i've lost that bloggin feelin. hmmmm. so, i thought i would write something. i got a job (actually 2). applebees and best buy. yikes, what am i getting myself into?? lol. oh well, money in my pocket :) my plans right now are to save enough so that i will be able to move and find a job elsewhere. it's getting pretty obvious that i'm not supposed to work in the dayton area. haha. so, we'll see where this leads. i dont know when i will make my next post, hopefully soon. my problem is not knowing what to write about... so, i'm planning on finding some good topics and writing about them, whether this happens or not, i have no clue. but anyway... i will post again soon... i think. lata

I know that I am WAY over due for a post. I really haven't been in much of a blogging mood lately. apologies. but i know that a new entry will make my friend Kim very happy. :) anyways, to catch some of you up to date... my job at the university of dayton didn't work out. Man, i was REALLY bummed that I didnt get that job. But, luckily I have some good friends there to remind me that God has something better for me (liz and matt, just to name a couple... thanks!) I'm really learning patience though. which is a good thing. In other news, i am running consistantly now! i know, shocking right? but it's true. i actually ran 4.5 miles at John Bryan yesterday with matt. NUTS. i would have never thought in a million years that i would run that far. if it weren't for matt, i DEFINATELY would not have :) I'm also reading a book called "The Ragamuffin Gospel" It's a great book if you havent read it, and i would suggest it. Brennan Manning (author) speaks a lot of grace. His way of thinking gives grace a little more meaning than what i have thought it to be. But anywho, not really a whole lot else goin on right now... chillin like a villin. so, until my next entry.... lata!

so, i went camping last night. not at a campground, not in the country, but in dayton... jared's backyard to be exact. haha. it was fun. there's nothing like makin smores over a nice warm charcoal grill! MMMMM! the night started with me, jared, travis, nicole, mary beth, and lizzle. lizzle and mary beth didnt stay and camp. so, it was just me, jared, travis, and nicole. there were lots of funny things that happened, but the most funny thing was this: someone, not mentioning any names, said "i need to find a hole for my butt" hahaha. it's really not as bad as it sounds, it just sounds REALLY funny. anyway, i'm going to go and catch up on some lost sleep! lata.

hey all... my weekend was good. i spent a lot of it with my family cuz my sis was home visiting and she brought her boyfriend with her this time. it was my first time meeting him. and yes, i approve. :) when i wasnt withmy family, i hung out with liz and nicole...or should i say lizzle and shmoop dogg. haha. we had some good times. other than that, there's not a whole lot else goin on... but i went RUNNING this morning! i know i know... WOW. haha. i have decided that i need to start being a little more healthy and start working off that fat roll. :) Have a GREAT monday! lata.

ok... so some funny things that happened this weekend are as follows: 1) saw an abnormally large cut off horse 2) watching Jared get suckered into buying a magic worm, which we named bilbo 3) watching nicole get hit on again and again and again 4) travis's tight 70's pants 5) watching jared and liz tempt to rollerskate 6) matt getting in trouble at magic castle by a 17 year old 7) looking for nicole's cornhole 8) listened to Sugar Ray in chinese at the china cottage and 9) learning about liz' pet spa.... YIKES! Overall, GREAT weekend!

ok, so i dont know what happened to my blog the passed couple of days... but good news, it's back! :) So... today's entry is dedicated to kim. hmmm.... what to say, what to say. First things first... she ROCKS at skeeball and tears it up on the DDR floor! She tells the BEST stories, and being a nurse, she has a TON of them! Just ask her. And be warned, she doesnt leave out any details. haha. Kim lives in an apartment that is guarded by 2 ferocious tigers that just might eat you up if she didnt have that squirt bottle as a weapon for protection. Kim also speaks, or at least attempts to speak ghetto slang. HOLLER! haha. Kim also likes to be the hurdle for Gizmo (jared's dog) to jump over. hmm, yea, you may say that she is a bit odd. But, overall, she's a great gal and brings alot of spunk and happiness to your life. so, there it is... a whole page dedicated to the wonders of my friend kim.

my night at magic castle

last night straight CRACKED me up. me, jared and kim met and ate pizza, then we went to magic castle. oh yea, we kicked but in skeeball and got our groove on with DDR. but the funny thing is this... kim and jared were playing air hockey and jared hit the disc really hard and it flew over the balcony and hit this little boy in the head. haha. not knowing yet, jared went down to get the disc and the mom was at the bottom of the stairs and threw the disc at jared. he was like, what? so he looked up, and they had an ice pack on this kids head. i looked over the edge and all the people were lookin up at the balcony complaining to the workers there. i was like CRAP. so, needless to say, we made like a fetus and headed out like there was no tomorrow. i was ROLLIN. if you dont find this funny, i guess you just had to be there. :) lata.

Easter Weekend

my weekend was GREAT! friday was exciting.... my brother got engaged!! woohoo... you go bro! i'm very happy and excited for them. Saturday was fun too... i went to the euchre tournament at apex, didnt play cuz i suck, but i went and had fun with some peeps... and after that a little ddr. Easter was good too.... went to church, which was an Awesome and much needed service. after that, i went to my grandma's for our annual easter feast. mmmmmmm! there's nothing better than food.. food.. and more food! :) my friend dave from c-stone was here visiting his bro... so i got to hang out with him for a little.... then the night ended at jared's, where we watched a movie.. and then had a pretty intense discussion on guy/girl relationships. aye aye aye. Overall... GREAT weekend! Lata.

it's friday, wooohoooo! my interview went well yesterday. i didnt get a job on the spot, but he said that he was going to keep my resume on file and he knows a lot of businesses... so if something comes up, he said he would give me a call. but anyway, after the interview... i went to the Dayton Gospel Mission and i LOVED it. So, all the kids could talk about was playing dodgeball. and i started talkin smack about how i was going to kick their butts in this game because i am the all time pro. but come to find out, they kicked my butt. but they loved it. it was great. they found out my last name was musselman and that's what they called me. "musselman, you cant get me" haha. i love it. i'm finding out that this is really where my heart is. working with building relationships with people from the inner city. So, we'll see where that takes me i guess. Lata.

ok... so today i've got an interview at 3:30. I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying that something comes of this. This dude is a Christian, so that's cool... and he said that if it didnt work out to work for him, that he would have some other suggestions. So, that's good. I'll tell ya how it went tomorrow. After my interview, i'm going to the Dayton Gospel Mission and seeing what that is all about and if i want to get involved with that. I have heard good things about it, so i'm excited. anyway, that's it for today. Lata.

so i wake up this morning with a call from my great grandma, who is 95 years old. and she says "nathan, i've got an animal in my stove." and i was like what? she has a wood-burning stove and i guess an animal had somehow climbed down the pipe and got in there. anyway, she was like.... "i think that it's a squirrel and i was wondering if maybe you could come over with your bb gun and knock it out." haha. that just cracks me up. and then she proceeded to tell me that she was going to try to talk to it and ask it what it wants. lol. i love my grandma!

so, i decided to change up my blog a little... orange, hmmmm... tell me what you think. but anyway, i got an interview!! it's this thursday at 3:30. I'm praying that something comes of this. I'm getting a little worn out on searching for a job. Liz helped me get it. So, a BIG thanks to her! But, the Lord knows what he's doing... and i have to trust in that. last night may have been the night that i have finally understood euchre. i dont know, we'll have to see the next time i play it. :) as for the euchre tournament at apex... i'm thinkin that it's going to have to wait till the next one. i'm not ready at all for that. anyway... here's some of the Word... weekend update

it was a good weekend overall. friday we celebrated my dad's birthday... so that was fun. saturday, i did adopt-a-block, which is a ministry from apex, and it was really good. basically... it's building relationships with people on dayton's west side. a little different from what i did in chi town... but still really good. so, saturday night i went to mary beth's and ate with some apexers... that was fun. they then went Latin dancing, but i didnt go... i just wasnt really in a dancing mood. So, instead a few of us just decided to hang out. Sunday was cool.... did the church thing as usual.... took a nap as usual :) then went to liz's and got my groove on with ddr (dance dance revolution). oh yeah, aint nuttin like nate dogg cuttin the rug. what what. haha. you had to be there i guess... it was fun. So, now... starting a whole new week. Could this be the week for a job?????? hmmmm.... sure hope so. lata.

ok.... so, yesterday was quite funny... i though anyway. A complete day of pretty much doing nothing. after lunch with amy and matt... matt and i decided to hang out. so, first we went and got some coffee... almond mocha, mmmmm! rapidly climbing the chart of favorite coffees. after that, we did pretty much NOTHING. We tried to plan out stuff to do, but nothing came of any ideas. So, we called this day our day of nothingness! but it was fun hangin out. better to do nothin with someone then by yourself i guess. anyway, today has started and what a productive day it has been already! My friend andy woke me at 10:00 am. and i'm like what?? do you know how early this is? but it was all good.... it's great to talk to him. then, i went and got a haircut. hmmm. not really sure what i think about it. it seems that she didnt cut enough off on top. but oh well, nothin i can do about it now :) Not really sure what's going to happen the rest of the day.... but i'm thinking i'm going to be productive. i think i'm going to balance the day of nothingness with a day of productivity.... what what. :) and i have refuge tonight at 7. So, we'll see where this day goes. Lata.

another sunny day! how happy am i. it's been a long time coming. but anyway, last night was fun. i went to small group, and my sis came with. it was a lot of fun, even though someone wasn't there (yea, you know who you are!!!) today should be a good day. for lunch, i'm meeting amy and matt for lunch at chili's. yummy. and then after that, the possibilities are endless!! haha. cuz you know there's a lot to do here in ohio :) Here's some Word: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. this passed weekend was a good one. first thing, my sis came home for spring break. it's good to see her and stuff. saturday night was fun, hung out with some other apexers. mostly played games and stuff. man, these people are like gameaholics or something. but it's fun. yesterday was relaxing..... didnt really do much of anything but eat and sleep. haha. it's what i do best! anyway, the weather is AWESOME......SUNNY! so enjoy it.... with ohio's luck, it wont last long.

an ever changing life

Lately, the word "change" is becoming a word that i am constantly thinking of and experiencing. Whether it be physical or emotional or spiritual.....this is one word that describes my life and, more than likely, everyone elses. Pretty much, it's the only consistency that i can count on in life...that and God. Sometimes change is great and at other times, it just flat out sucks. Either way, it is a part of life and God grows us through these times, molding us into who He wants us to be. I know that often it takes time to see why a change was made in the lives we live, and sometimes we may never see or understand, but as i am being constantly reminded....my life is not my own. God, change and mold me into the man you want me to be.

challenging weekend

This passed weekend was definately one that challenges me. As for the interview that took place on saturday....we'll see how that turns out. There were actually 3 people interviewing me at the same time! yikes! I think that it went very well, but there were a lot of people there interviewing for the same position. People that definately looked more professional and that had a lot more experience than i. but, if the Lord wants me to have it, it will work out. If He doesn't.....well then he's going to lead me to what he wants me to do. And i'm excited about that, i just need to be patient. Friday and Saturday night, i spent hanging out with my friend Matt and going to a couple of people's houses to hang out. It was alot of fun. I'm definately meeting TONS of new people, which is awesome. Sunday, was a little different. I went to church and came home to find out that a relative had passed away, which really kind of shocked me. He was my cousin's husband. In his early 30's. Father of 5 kids, all of which are under the age of 7. It's really sad and weird to think about. wow. I never really knew him knew him....but we'd talk and stuff at family gatherings. I'm happy to say that he was a brother in Christ. All day Sunday, this has been what is on my mind. It really puts things into prospective. I mean, really.....what are we here on earth for? Our time here is NOT long at all. I'm still trying to process it all. But, I am delighted to know that right now, he is with Jesus. I mean, how AMAZING is that. He has no burdens, no sadness.....but full of joy. Pure joy that only God can produce. It's really cool to think that he is there, basking in HIS Glory. WOW. Corey.....You will always be remembered man.

I got a call yesterday about a job and i have an interview tomorrow! We'll see how that goes. I must say that job hunting is NOT the funnest thing in the world. So, i'm hoping that this thing works out. But if it doesn't, God obviously wants me somewhere else. Prayer would DEFINATELY be appreciated :) And IT'S FRIDAY!!! what what. YAY for the sunny days! 2 in a row. It sure brightens my day :) Last night was fun. I went to church....chipotle....starbucks....and then played scattergories, which i thought i was good at...but it turns out that i suck BIGTIME! oh well, i'm taking it as a compliment....i'm thinkin that to be good at that game, you have to be scatter-brained, right? right! ok, now that i'm done making myself feel better, i'm going to end. snow snow snow.....please go go go!!! I dont know about everyone else, but this winter seems to be lasting FOREVER! I'm just ready for some warm temperatures and sunshine. But, spring starts this month right? So, i'm sure that this weather isn't going to last too much longer. Anyway, last night i went and saw john piper and josh mcdowell speak. It was good. I got to hear some challenging words from 2 awesome men of God. So tonight....hopefully i will be going to BDUB's. mmmmm. chicken wings, o chicken wings....how i love you :)

ok...so it is finally here, for those waiting impatiently....not mentioning any names. let me just say that it is a CHORE getting this blog thing setup....or maybe it's just because i'm blogger illiterate. i dont know.....but it's here! Now, i just gotta figure out what to write in this thing...hmmmmm. I know you're probably wondering "what's new with nate dogg?" Well....here's your answer....not a whole heck of a lot. But, one GREAT thing is that i finally got an interview! YES, that's right, an interview......woooohooooo! My very first. I swear, i've sent at least 30 resumes out, and finally, someone responded! yay. anyway, weekend went well....went to elsa's on saturday night. oh yea...mmmm! some of you can relate :) oh, and i saw Constantine....AWESOME movie by the way. alright, well....that's it for my first blog. bare with me as i get this thing figuered out. i know that you all are waiting in anticipation to hear the thoughts of a great thinker. haha, just kidding. anyway, have an AWESOME day guys!
